Originally from Seattle, Emily Perry is a classically trained pianist and instructor who recently completed her Master’s in Collaborative Piano Performance at Western Washington University.

 

Emily draws on a wide range of performance experience in her work as an instructor. She has performed in master classes with artists including Gloria Cheng, Daniel Hsu, William Chapman Nyaho, and Mikhail Voskresensky. She has twice appeared in the ‘Sunday @ 3 Jansen Art Center Youth Concert Series’ and has been featured in numerous recitals and chamber concerts at the WWU Performing Arts Center. For four consecutive years, she has served as the collaborative pianist for winning soloists in the WWU Concerto Competition, and in 2025 was selected as a concerto competition winner, performing the Beethoven Triple Concerto with the Western Symphony Orchestra. 

In addition to her work as a pianist and teacher, Emily serves as a music minister at a local church and continues to perform regularly with instrumentalists, vocalists, and choirs throughout the Puget Sound area.

Emily teaches students of all ages and levels, providing a comprehensive curriculum in performance practice and music theory, while also emphasizing effective practice habits. She values meeting students where they are and helping them grow with confidence, consistency, and curiosity.

 

Whether in the studio or on stage, Emily is driven by a genuine excitement for music and a commitment to sharing the art with others.
